Hello!We are team 75 Geared UP! from Loudoun County Virginia. We are an enthusiastic and hard-working group of kids. Our team has 5 boys and 4 girls, ages 10 to 12. We really like First Lego League. This past season we won the State Championship 1st place research award for our innovative senior-friendly jar opener, the “Twist ‘N Shout”. This is the first time we have submitted an entry for the Global Innovations Award. Over the course of the season, we learned a lot about the aging process we all go through. We also learned about the scientific method, torque, product-testing, business plans and the patenting process. We really enjoyed building our prototype jar openers and testing them with our senior partners.We made new friends and learned a lot about how to work together as a team.
